Alpine Engineering is a civil and structural engineering firm located near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

The firm specializes in structural engineering of custom homes, including log and timber frame structures.

A strong personnel team within the firm have a “can do” attitude, which comes from having a lot of hands-on construction experience.

We give each project our best effort, enhancing the quality of life for those who use our structures.

Alpine Engineering and its personnel have engineered hundreds of structures in the heavy snow load environment of the Sierra Nevada and the Pacific Northwest. These structures include several million-dollar Tahoe lakefront residences in addition to cozy log homes.

Aside from log and timber framed structures, Alpine Engineering also works on conventional wood framed and steel structures. We also engineer a number of smaller structures such as pole barns, car ports, home remodels/additions, and elevated walkways, and larger structures such as multilevel office buildings and condominiums. Alpine Engineering has worked on a variety of site development projects requiring expertise in many of civil engineering’s diverse disciplines throughout the western U.S.

Alpine Engineering believes our primary mission is to provide timely professional services to our clients while designing projects which are easy to build and enhance the quality of life for those who use the structure upon completion. We realize that this can only be achieved by giving each project our best effort.

In today’s competitive world, where a developer must cope with increasingly onerous project approval processes, which slow a project down, and financing and economic constraints, which need to speed a project along, time is of the essence.

Alpine Engineering realizes this and seeks to deliver our services right the first time and in a timely manner. We seek to accomplish this by anticipating the issues that will be raised in the field and resolve them in the office. Often by providing just a little more information on the construction documents we can eliminate questions during construction. We also depend heavily on our computer system to crunch numbers and to provide readable output. We use structural engineering software developed by our principal which helps us to value engineer most structural members.

We believe our resources were created to be used. Good stewardship requires that any resources, including time, money, and materials, be used efficiently. Alpine Engineering attempts to blend the input of various design professionals in a creative, yet practical way. A good design is the result of above average effort and genuine interest in a quality product. This is the trademark of our firm.

Our Principal is a registered civil and structural engineer in 10 western states, Texas, and Alberta.

We are licensed Civil and Structural Engineers in the following states:

We are also licensed in the Canadian Province of Alberta.
